Kravco Simon Company, formerly known as Kravco Company, has a longstanding policy of encouraging charitable and civic
involvement and support through the actions of the Company and its employees. This involvement is reflected not only at the corporate office in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, but also at the various properties under management.
Each year, Kravco Simon closes its office for one day so all employees can participate in a community service activity. Over the years, Kravco Simon Company employees have been involved with several organizations including Habitat for Humanity in Montgomery and Chester Counties, Gilda’s Club Delaware Valley and the Senior Adult Activity Center of Montgomery County. Comments from our employees after participating in the Community Service Day reflect the value of this experience: “This is the best thing that our company has ever done”. . . . “It makes me feel grateful for what I have”.
In the aftermath of the September 11th tragedy, Kravco Simon Company and its malls "adopted" the family of Michael Robert Horrocks. Michael Horrocks was the first officer on United 175 that crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center. Kravco Simon led the effort to fulfill his daughter's dream of rebuilding the playground at her elementary school in the Philadelphia suburbs. Her public school is one that accepts children who are physically challenged and this playground is now accessible to all children. Not only was Kravco Simon recognized in the community for our efforts, but the company and its malls received the International Council of Shopping Center's prestigious MAXI award recognizing its work with the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, the first ever Mall Watch program and the building of the Michael Robert Horrock's Memorial Playground.
At the Kravco Simon properties, there is a strong commitment to the community. Some mall-wide events have included “Kare for Kids” which raised funds for the Children’s Miracle Network, “Habitat for Humanity” where houses were built in communities where each mall is located, “Aware and Alive” an effort for breast cancer awareness, and “Couture For A Cure” a fashion event to create awareness and raise funds for ALS. Additionally, each mall sponsors various community service events and campaigns in support of local organizations. We believe these are ways for our malls to “give back” to our shoppers and the community.

Kravco Simon Company believes that our strong commitment to community, charitable and civic needs from the corporate office and at the properties that we manage, reflect our belief that we truly can and should make a difference in the world in which we live and work.
